The 2010 ASM @ Thailand (Pattaya) PRO Qualifying School will be staged during the 2010 ASM @ Thailand (Pattaya) from 24th - 26th Nov 2010
The PRO Qualifying School is open to amateur golfers who must be at least 49 years of age in 2010, and who wish to try and qualify to become a member of the Asian Seniors PGA Tour for the 2011 season.
Having passed Q school, and having turned 50 years of age they will then become eligible to play for prize money as a professional golfer in future AST golf tournaments.
It will cost approx US$ 1,950 to enter the 2010 ASM @ Thailand (Pattaya) PRO Qualifying School which will be conducted on Wed 24th, Thu 25th and Fri 26th Nov 2010 during the
2010 ASM @ Thailand (Pattaya) - Professional Tournament where the PRO Qualifier will play as an amateur with NO entitlement to any prize money.
In order to QUALIFY to become a member of the Asian Seniors PGA Tour the PRO Qualifier must shoot no more than 12 over par during the course of the 3 day Qualifying School, and having done so will be required to pay a further US$ 300 joining fee for the remainder of the Asian Senor Tour's 2010 season.
For the successful PRO Qualifiers who may not have attain 50 years of age before the end of 2010, they will be required to pay a US$ 500 joining fee which will automatically entitle them to full membership in the Asian Seniors PGA Tour effective from the date in 2011 when they turn 50 and automatically become eligible and entitled to participate in AST events as a professional with entitlement to prize money for the duration of the Asian Senior Tours 2011 season.
The US$ 1,950 entry fees for the 2010 ASM @ Thailand (Pattaya) PRO Qualifying School includes –
5 nights hotel accommodation at the Official Hotel and includes daily breakfast from
Sun 21st through Thu 25th Nov 2010 nights inclusive, along with late check out on Fri 26th Nov 2010 ;
daily return transportation to and from the Official Venue (golf club) and the Official Hotel from
Mon 22nd through Fri 26th Nov 2010 inclusive ;
all green, caddy and buggy fees for your 2 practice rounds, 1 each day on Mon 22nd and Tue 23rd Nov 2010, should you be required to play in a Pro-Am on either of these days, a post Pro-Am meal will be provided ;
all green, buggy and caddy fees for the 3 days of Q School from Wed 24th through Fri 26th Nov 2010 and lunch will be provided on these days ;
We wish you every success during the Asian Seniors PGA Tour Q School – Thailand (Pattaya) where you will be required to return a score of no more than 12 over par over 3 rounds in order to qualify
Following the ASM @ Thailand (Pattaya) 2010 we will be staging the
ASM @ Cambodia (Siem Reap) 2010 from the 27th Nov through 2nd Dec 2010
followed by the
ASM @ Philippines (Cebu) 2010 from the 4th through 9th Dec 2010.
If you have successfully qualified, have paid your joining fee to become a member of the Asian Seniors PGA Tour, and are 50 years of age, on or by -
29th Nov 2010 prior to the first day of the ASM @ Cambodia (Siem Reap) 2010 Professional Tournament
and or
6th Dec 2010 prior to the first day of the ASM @ Philippines (Cebu) 2010 Professional Tournament
you will be entitled to contest the event(s) as a professional golfer for prize money.
In the unfortunate event that you have been UNSUCCESSFUL at the ASM @ Thailand (Pattaya) PRO Q School and desire to try again to qualify to become an Asian Seniors PGA Tour member, you can do so by playing in the ASM @ Cambodia (Siem Reap) PRO Qualifying School to be conducted on Tue 30th Nov, Wed 1st and Thu 2nd Dec 2010

Asian Seniors PGA Tour Member's entry fees for the ASM @ Cambodia will be UNDER US$ 1,500 which includes 5 nights hotel accommodation plus daily breakfast, all green, buggy and caddy fees, plus lunch when playing in the Pro-Ams and during the professional tournament.
Member's with COUNTRY EXEMPTIONS for the ASM @ Cambodia pay around US$ 900 which EXCLUDES hotel accommodation, BUT includes all green, buggy and caddy fees, plus lunch when playing in the Pro-Ams and during the professional tournament.

Member's with COUNTRY EXEMPTIONS for the ASM @ Philippines pay around US$ 1,000 which EXCLUDES hotel accommodation, BUT includes all green, buggy and caddy fees, plus lunch when playing in the Pro-Ams and during the professional tournament.
Loss of Amateur Status if participating in the Asian Senior PGA Tour's PRO Qualifying School
Amateur golfers may enter and play in the PRO Qualifying tournament(s) without forfeiture of their amateur status.
At future AST events the successful Amateur golfers may enter and play in the various Asian Senior Master professional tournament(s) as an AST - Professional without forfeiture of their amateur status, provided in advance and in writing they waive their right to any prize money on offer at the event.
This is done by completing and signing the ASM Prize Money waiver form when entering an ASM tournament.
Amateur golfers who fail to do so are in breach of the rules of Amateur Status. Otherwise, the breach occurs when having qualified, they accept an offer of, or apply for, AST membership.
Please ask for the Prize money waiver form obtainable from the Tournament Directors Office.
Successful amateur participants in the PRO Qualifying tournament who may wish to retain their Amateur Status will be made Honourary - Amateur Members of the Asian Senior PGA Tour.
Reinstatement to Amateur Status can be applied for via your Country - County - State Golf Association.
A period awaiting reinstatement of between 3 and 24 months can apply, depending on the circumstances.
